COMMON QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
1. I have been injured in a collision - who will pay
my medical bills?
Most insured drivers in Oregon and Washington have
Personal Injury Protection (PIP) benefits as a provision
of the vehicle insurance. Depending on your specific
coverage, PIP will pay up to $15,000 for reasonable
and necessary medical treatment resulting from the
collision - REGARDLESS OF WHO IS AT FAULT.
2. How do I pay for an Attorney?
In most cases personal injury cases are taken on
a contingency basis. This means that your attorneys
fees are paid at the end of the case as a percentage
of the gross recovery amount. In other words, if
you do not recover for your damages, then you do
not owe for your attorney’s time. On the other
hand, regardless of the outcome of the case you always
owe for costs such as copies of records, postage
and filing fees. Call for your free consultation.

That depends on numerous variables, but as a general
rule you are may be compensated for all of your
economic and non-economic damages. Economic damages
are things like property damage to your vehicle,
medical bills, prescriptions, special items needs
